Get ready for Happy International Women's Day!
March 8th is the day and Actiongirls is ready to celebrate. We're having a party! Time will be from 12-3 and location will be confirmed in the next day or two so be sure to check back for the details. There will be food and everyone will have a chance to make a really cool takehome so don't miss out. Everyone will also have an opportunity to contribute to a large creation (another surprise) so if you're looking to find your voice this is going to be a great place to start.

In other news, Actiongirls is following up our last movie ("Born Into Brothels") with "God Sleeps in Rwanda".
The movie is one of four films nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short and is a new addition to the catalogue at Women Make Movies.

This movie has received numerous awards and has had screenings around the world. Date and time to be announced soon.
Actiongirls is also continuing our campaign to bring awareness to the issue of missing women. We will be launching the poster campaign and planning another action for after reading week.
