We cannot discuss &#8216;equality&#8217; without discussing women&#8217;s lack of equality.  Thus, a feminist is a specific type of egalitarian (thought &#8216;feminist&#8217; can be broken down further, into different &#8216;types&#8217; of feminists), and feminism is a branch of egalitarianism.
