{"id":233,"date":"2008-05-07T13:13:36","date_gmt":"2008-05-07T17:13:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.femilicious.com\/blog\/2008\/05\/07\/random-happy-and-sad-things\/"},"modified":"2008-05-07T13:13:36","modified_gmt":"2008-05-07T17:13:36","slug":"random-happy-and-sad-things","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.femilicious.com\/blog\/2008\/05\/07\/random-happy-and-sad-things\/","title":{"rendered":"Random Happy and Sad Things"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s time for a check-in and one of those posts that I can look back on to gauge state-of-mind when one day in the future I reflect back to this time and wonder what in the world I was thinking.  so:<\/p>\n<p>Some things that made me happy today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>spreading dirt for a garden in the backyard.  I&#8217;m hoping to plant the weekend after next<\/li>\n<li>super cheap ceramic tiles at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.habitat.ca\/\">Habitat for Humanity ReStore<\/a>.  I&#8217;m going to set them in the ground between the dirt and the fence = cheap and non-toxic weedblock!<\/li>\n<li> last year&#8217;s shorts fit.  No further comment.<\/li>\n<li>I got to play with an <a href=\"http:\/\/eeepc.asus.com\/\">Asus Eee PC<\/a> at Staples of all places (I&#8217;d give you a link but the site irritates me because it won&#8217;t let me browse without entering my postal code).  The Eee is as awesome as I imagined &#8212; and even lighter.  They&#8217;re stocking the black one with the 4GB hard drive and 512MB of ram for 399$ Cdn.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some sad things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The rest of the dirt for the garden is in the front yard.  I estimate it will take 20 billion and a half trips with the wheelbarrow to get it to the right place.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s raining and cold so I don&#8217;t want to work out in the garden anymore today<\/li>\n<li>I have a meeting with my adviser tomorrow so I can&#8217;t work outside in the garden anymore today<\/li>\n<li>I don&#8217;t need an Asus Eee PC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Isn&#8217;t that an awesome list of sad things?  I realize there&#8217;s nothing major there and I think that&#8217;s a wonderful reason to celebrate.
